Opened in April 2022 The Forge Grooming is owned and managed by Melissa,

Melissa has an extensive background with both small and large animals and has been a dog owner herself since 4 years old, her studies have always revolved around animals and she has a FdSc in Animal Science and Welfare.


Melissa began studying dog grooming with City and Guilds in 2021 has gained both her Level 2 Dog Grooming Assistants and Level 3 Professional Dog Stylist.





Beth from Beth's Pet Styling also works within The Forge Grooming, Beth is also Level 2 and Level 3 qualified with City and Guilds. Beth is an excellent groomer who always works with compassion and care. Having worked in a highly rated local salon for 2 years prior to being with us Beth has a great knowledge of all breed cuts and styles with a passion for Asian Fusion Grooming.






Our salon is set in idyllic countryside but is only 4.5 miles from Ipswich center, easily accessible by car with ample parking.

We strongly believe high quality products achieve the best results and we will always use the best of the best. Most of our Shampoos are completely natural, plant based and contain no sulphates, no parabens, no alcohol, no palm oils. We use mainly Pawdinary shampoos and conditioners but we have other products from Milly's, Julie Harris and Hydra depending on your dogs needs.
